The Triad
The Three Sisters
Each with its own character, each spiteful, yet together they form a single scientific family. An apt metaphor.
The Triad is in fact three scientific institutions that originally served as field research laboratories. Today the towns of Berlavee, Yornvee and Arno together form a single administrative body with the rank of a university. The close proximity of three smaller research centres led, on the one hand, to a peculiar bond of loyalty between their Savants and, on the other, to countless disputes over overlapping spheres of influence. The conflicts ended only with Professor Lau Sircre, who became famous as a great peacemaker and a charismatic leader.
The Savants of the Triad specialise in fields such as geology, evolutionary biology and genetics, but also hydrobiology, geobotany and mycology. They spend most of their time on field research and on collecting valuable biological samples of endemic species.

Specialisations
Symbiote Feeders
Will-o’-the-Wisps
Moon Hounds
Hardened by work in hostile surroundings and used to hardship, the Savants of the Triad are valuable support for a team of Savants. The Symbiote Feeders of Berlavee are enthusiasts of the evolutionary race and of medicine based on certain parasites. The Moon Hounds are known as talented hunters of aberrations and cunning trackers. The Savants of Arno, called the Will-o’-the-Wisps, remain the largest and most versatile group of adepts studying the biological sciences. Their interests also include producing medicines and therapies that use noctyline.
