Sanlirynth
The White Temple
Statues in the bone chapels, portraits hanging in the lecture halls and, finally, memorial plaques in the corridors. Everything here rightly reminds us that we merely stand on the shoulders of giants.
A hungry mind is fertile ground for monstrosities – so says an ancient wisdom. The Savants of Sanlirynth know well what terrifying truth hides behind these words. Although for many centuries Sanlirynth was the cradle of scientific revolutions, today the scholars of the White Temple remain meticulous guardians of a hard-won status quo. Nearly all of its adepts show a good deal of scepticism and suspicion towards overly reformist tendencies. In the public eye they are therefore seen as the conservative faction: defenders of the present order of things, supporters of slow evolution and of respect for established dogma.
Adepts of Sanlirynth
Specialisations
Pale Masks
Bone Wardens
Masters of the mathematical sciences and proud defenders of the present order. The Pale Masks are the armed wing of Sanlirynth: hunters of renegades and trackers of conspiracies. The Bone Wardens are a contemplative order that specialises in introspection, mathematical logic and logical reasoning. Adepts of Sanlirynth tend towards paranoia, forever hunting for conspiracies or signs of deviation from the Canon of Kohn. Both specialisations make a good starting choice.
