Both were built on the fortune of Eirih Lauzern, head of an industrial dynasty, industrialist and investor, sometimes called the most effective man of his time. It is also the only university that puts such strong emphasis on sustainable development and interdisciplinary research.
Mathematics is, of course, and always will be the starting point of all research, but the Savants of Lauzern dislike limits and readily reach for every available specialisation. And since Eirih Lauzern made it a point of honour to give the university’s adepts the best possible conditions for work and growth, the opportunities are truly vast – the university authorities do not skimp on funding even the riskiest projects, especially when they bring together diverse groups of scientists.

Eliminators
Lauzern trains versatile and creative Savants. The Plague Trackers are an elite unit that specialises in finding and extinguishing potential outbreaks of epidemics. The Eliminators specialise in covering up the consequences of dangerous scientific incidents involving Savants or anomalies. Adepts of Lauzern tend towards mania and an obsession with pathogens. Both specialisations are valuable support for a team of Savants.
